Evlilik Guzeldir English Subtitles: 1x2

Episode 2

Evlilik Güzeldir Episode 2 English Subtitles raises the stakes for the Bahtiyar family as old promises are tested and new schemes come to light. Mesut Bahtiyar still keeps the neighborhood together, but Servet’s money trouble and his daughters’ secrets are pulling the household in every direction.

Picking up after the ending of Episode 1 of Evlilik Güzeldir, where the meeting between the two families turned into a violent argument, and Sinan was left needing an ambulance, this chapter deals with the fallout.

What happens in Episode 2?

The episode starts in chaos on the street. Servet has taken a 50,000 lira deposit from several tenants for the same shop that belongs to Murat, and the angry shopkeepers want answers. At the same time Zeynep and Murat keep up a fake romance in front of others, with strict rules about touching only when it is necessary. Ali Riza is asked for a huge sum and tries to pay it in installments, a tax inspector starts examining the shops, and Ayse presents a wedding-ring campaign that calls on couples close to giving up to remember their first promises.

Yasemin meets Sinan’s colleague Melek at the hospital and the jealousy boils over. Meanwhile Bahar learns that she must share a joint project with Diyar, an exchange student from Van, because only one assistant position is open at her school.

This chapter leans on humor and tension in equal measure, from the shopkeepers’ confrontation to the pretend romance in front of other people. It also develops Bahar’s rivalry at university and the first cracks in Yasemin and Sinan’s relationship.
